Mind Blowing Nestle CEO Says “WATER IS NOT A HUMAN RIGHT”

Image result for Mind Blowing Nestle CEO Says “WATER IS NOT A HUMAN RIGHT”

Is water a free and basic human right, or should all the water on the planet belong to major corporations and be treated as a product? Should the poor who cannot afford to pay these said corporations suffer from starvation due to their lack of financial wealth?

According to the former CEO and now Chairman of the largest food product manufacturer in the world, corporations should own every drop of water on the planet — and you’re not getting any unless you pay up.

The company notorious for sending out hordes of ‘internet warriors’ to defend the company and its actions online in comments and message boards (perhaps we’ll find some below) even takes a firm stance behind Monsanto’s GMOs and their ‘proven safety’. In fact, the former Nestle CEO actually says that his idea of water privatization is very similar to Monsanto’s GMOs. In a video interview, Nestle Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe states that there has never been ‘one illness’ ever caused from the consumption of GMOs.

The way in which this sociopath clearly has zero regard for the human race outside of his own wealth and the development of Nestle, who has been caught funding attacks against GMO labeling, can be witnessed when watching and listening to his talk on the issue. This is a company that actually goes into struggling rural areas and extracts the groundwater for their bottled water products, completely destroying the water supply of the area without any compensation. In fact, they actually make rural areas in the United States foot the bill.

As reported on by Corporate Watch, Nestle and former CEO Peter Brabeck-Letmathe have a long history of disregarding public health and abusing the environment to take part in the profit of an astounding $35 billion in annual profit from water bottle sales alone. The report states:

“Nestlé production of mineral water involves the abuse of vulnerable water resources. In the Serra da Mantiqueira region of Brazil, home to the “circuit of waters” park whose groundwater has a high mineral content and medicinal properties, over-pumping has resulted in depletion and long-term damage.”

Nestle has also come under fire over the assertion that they are actually conducting business with massive slavery rings. Another Corporate Watch entry details:

“In 2001, Nestlé faced criticism for buying cocoa from the Ivory Coast and Ghana, which may have been produced using child slaves.[58] According to an investigative report by the BBC, hundreds of thousands of children in Mali, Burkina Faso and Togo were being purchased from their destitute parents and shipped to the Ivory Coast, to be sold as slaves to cocoa farms.”

So is water a human right, or should it be owned by big corporations? Well, if water is not here for all of us, then perhaps air should be owned by major corporations as well. And as for crops, Monsanto is already working hard to make sure their monopoly on our staple crops and beyond is well situated. It should really come as no surprise that this Nestle Chairman fights to keep Monsanto’s GMOs alive and well in the food supply, as his ideology lines right up with that of Monsanto.

Tragic Video Will Make You Take A Hard Look At Your Contribution To Global Warming

Despite the alarming number of people who have denied climate change, including the U.S. president, there’s plenty of evidence to prove not only that it’s happening, but that we’re the ones causing it.

Global temperatures are rising, shrinking ice sheets, making glaciers retreat, and taking away animals’ natural habitats. National geographic photographer Paul Nicklen became the unfortunate witness to the devastating effects global warming has on Earth’s creatures when he came across a starving polar bear during an expedition in the Baffin Islands.

Seals are the main staple of a polar bear’s diet, but with sea ice melting, they’re much more difficult to come by. This emaciated bear likely died of starvation shortly after being filmed.

Without food, polar bears wander into human settlements, seeking it out.

Beloved Wild Horses in Arizona Are Officially Protected

Animal advocates are celebrating a major victory for a beloved herd of wild horses in Arizona’s Tonto National Forest, who are now officially protected from being removed and slaughtered.

The herd, known as the Salt River wild horses, became the center of a major controversy in 2015, when the Forest Service announced plans to remove them and auction them off. The agency argued they were stray livestock and not entitled to protection under the Wild and Free-Roaming Horse and Burro Act of 1971, and it was therefore not responsible for managing them.

That legislation was passed to protect wild horses from “capture, branding, harassment, or death,” but the agencies responsible for protecting wild horses, including the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service, have continued to fail them, and thousands continue to be rounded up and removed from their rightful place on the landscape.

Fortunately, these horses were not without advocates, and news of the Forest Service’s plans sparked fierce public outrage. The Salt River Wild Horse Management Group (SRWHMG), which has been stewarding these horses in the wild for years, filed an injunction to stop the roundup and thousands of people from around the world made calls to protect them so loud officials and lawmakers couldn’t ignore them– a Care2 petition asking the Forest Service to leave them be in the wild gathered more than 220,000 signatures.

As a result of public outcry over their potential removal and slaughter, the Salt River Wild Horse Act was passed to protect them. Now, the SRWHMG, its partner the American Wild Horse Campaign and the public are celebrating an agreement that was reached to ensure their long-term protection and the enactment of that legislation, which finally went into effect on January 1.

“Two years ago, the Salt River wild horses were almost removed and slaughtered. Today is a great day. The Salt River wild horses are protected from harassment and slaughter. We are deeply grateful to Governor Doug Ducey for his compassion and dedication to protecting these cherished wild horses, to State Rep. Kelly Townsend for introducing the bill that made this agreement to protect the horses possible, and to the Forest Service for recognizing the public’s strong interest in protecting this historic and popular horse herd, ” said Simone Netherlands, President of the SRWHMG.

The new law requires the Salt River wild horses be protected from harm, harassment and slaughter, and are humanely managed in the wild through partnerships between federal, state and local authorities, and a non-profit, such as the SRWHMG, which stands ready to help.

“The Salt River Wild Horse Management Group, with our 100 volunteers and daily presence on the Salt River, is ready to roll up our sleeves and enter into an agreement with the state to continue our management of this wild horse herd that people from all over the world travel to see,” added Netherlands. “We are grateful for the enormous public support for our work, which has included the rescue and treatment of seriously injured Salt River wild horses, fixing miles of fencing to keep horses out of roadways and education/outreach activities to keep the public and the horses safe.”

Hopefully the Salt River wild horses will be around for generations to come and the awareness that was raised by their plight will encourage people to continue to speak up for thousands of other wild horses and burros living on public lands whose future in the wild remains in question.

The agencies responsible for managing wild horses should be protecting them, not subjecting them to brutal roundups or sending them to slaughter to benefit special interests who want to see them gone.

A New York woman is facing serious charges for not only reportedly killing her newborn infant, but for keeping the child’s body in her home with her and her two other kids for several months.

Police have charge Christina Colantonio of Batavia, New York with second-degree murder for allegedly killing her infant daughter and living with the body for approximately 3 months, according to Genesee County Dist. Atty. Lawrence Friedman.

Though prosecutors would not disclose the cause of death, authorities have told the NY Daily News that they “have enough evidence to come to a conclusion it was intentionally caused.”

Accused of killing the baby “shortly after birth,” WCVB reports an acquaintance who visited the 28-year-old’s home saw the body and contacted police. At a news conference, police Sgt. Todd Crossett claimed responding officers who found the baby girls remains were offered counseling.

“It’s not something you see on a regular basis,” Crossett said. “They are the most vulnerable part of the population.”

We all know that we can teach our dogs learn to do pretty cool tricks, right? Well, what about cats?!

Most people can’t even imagine a cat doing tricks. However, this cat is definitely trying to prove something, so when the dogs roll over, she does the same.

Well, either her owner spent hours training the cat or she learned the trick while watching the dogs try, just to let them know she is smarter. I think it’s the latter. And you?

Meet Didga, the adorable kitty who appears to be quite familiar with the term “copy cat.”

If a dog can do something, why can’t Didga?! LOL

A Tough Prison Inmate Raised This Dog, But Watch What Happens When He Says Goodbye

Castaways is a documentary series chronicling the successful rehabilitation program of inmates that train unwanted dogs for re-introduction or adoption.

The series rehabilitation program highlights the plight that both prisoners and unwanted dogs face, and how an unlikely union between the two brings out a change in character of both man and beast — each trying to save and serve the other.

The results are life-changing for the prisoner, the dog, and the future pet owner.

In the video below, you’ll meet a dog named Esther who was severely abused in a puppy mill before being rehabilitated through the Prison-trained K-9 Companion Program.

It’s simply incredible to watch as Jason, a prison inmate, forms his bond with Esther, and eventually must say an emotional goodbye after successfully training her and helping her emerge from her shell.

We’ve seen the impact made when these two groups of societal outcasts meet. It’s truly heartwarming — because, while many people shun both inmates and “undesirable” breeds like pit bulls and rottweilers, this program gives them an opportunity to look to each other for affection, friendship, and understanding and to foster each other’s growth.

This type of program should be employed in more prisons across the country.

Get Rid of Bad Breath, Plaque, Tartar, and Harmful Bacteria In Your Mouth With This ONE Ingredient!

Image result for Get Rid of Bad Breath, Plaque, Tartar, and Harmful Bacteria In Your Mouth With This ONE Ingredient!

We all know how important dental health is—not just for the brightness of our smiles but for our general well-being. We diligently floss and brush twice a day and go to the dentist every few months to have our teeth scaled and polished, X-rays taken, and a fluoride treatment. But do these treatments really work?

The Dangers of Conventional Dentistry
We’ve known for decades that X-rays damage tissues, even at the basic DNA level (1). Dental hygienists will dismiss concern and say it’s safe but there’s an ongoing debate in the medical community about the necessity and safety of frequent x-rays.

And then there’s fluoride. The dentist and hygienist say that’s safe, too. Hundreds of medical studies say otherwise: it’s a known neurotoxin. Its efficacy in preventing dental cavities has never been definitively determined and is currently in dispute worldwide (2).

Despite being aware of these risks, we don’t even blink when we sit in the dentist’s chair, for fear that rejecting these services will result in a root canal or other traumatic dental interventions.

The Better Way To Clean your Teeth
There is a millennia-old Ayurvedic method for cleaning the mouth called “gundusha” or “kavala”. In English, the practice is translated as “oil pulling”.

The method is simple:

On an empty stomach, take one tablespoon of coconut or sesame oil in your mouth and swish it around for 15-20 minutes once a day. The oil will take with it harmful bacteria that cause plaque and gum disease.
Spit out the oil and thoroughly rinse your mouth. Feel free to brush if you like.
Your saliva will break down the oil during swishing, making it less viscous and more like a soap. If you find it difficult to hold the oil in your mouth for the full twenty minutes, start with half the time and work your way up to twenty.

You may ask if oil pulling is scientifically proven for having any positive effect on oral health. The answer is a resounding “yes”.

One study on the use of sesame oil found that in as little as ten days: “The oil pulling therapy showed a reduction in the plaque index, modified gingival scores, and total colony count of aerobic microorganisms in the plaque of adolescents with plaque-induced gingivitis.” (3).

In 2014, the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research published a study that concentrated specifically on the effects of (sesame) oil pulling versus chlorhexidine mouthwash on bad breath.

It concluded:

“Oil pulling with sesame oil is equally efficacious as chlorhexidine in reducing oral malodor and microbes causing it. It should be promoted as a preventive home care therapy.”(4).

Sesame isn’t the only oil that works. Here’s what researchers have said about the use of coconut oil:

“The oil film thus formed on the surface of the teeth and the gingiva can reduce plaque adhesion and bacterial co aggregation…The significant reduction in gingivitis can be attributed to decreased plaque accumulation and the anti-inflammatory, emollient effect of coconut oil.” (5).

It’s All in the Motion
The antibacterial properties of the oil in combination with the action of swishing liquid around in the mouth removes harmful bacteria not only from the surface of the teeth but also from the surrounding tissues.

It’s important to note that oil pulling doesn’t replace flossing and brushing but is a holistic tool meant to improve your dental health.

Police Speechless After Discovering What Teen Made 91-Year-Old Veteran Drink Before Killing Him

A teenager is suspected of killing a 91-year-old man in Detroit. The elderly man, Paul Monchnik, appears to have been forced to drink gasoline. Monchnik was then beaten and finally burned to death in his own home.

During the hearing, Dr. Kilak Kesha testified that Monchnik may have drunk the accelerant or if could have been poured into his mouth when he was unconscious. Family members in court gasped when they heard these details.

The suspect, in this case, is George Steward IV, 17. He was summoned to court on January 15, 2017, and has been charged with felony murder, burning a dwelling, and first-degree murder.

According to reports, Steward entered Monchnik’s home on Nov. 23, with the intent to rob him of his van.

Steward attacked the elderly Monchnik. The gasoline had been purchased at a nearby gas station. Police believe Steward used the fuel to try and cover his tracks. Thankfully, it didn’t work out as well as he planned.

Steward was found and arrested by local authorities and jailed.

When police arrived at the scene, Monchnik was already dead. The medical reports showed that 80% of his body was burned and Monchnik had a severe head injury that was enough to kill him.

Sgt. Brian Bowser from the Detroit police testified that Monchnik’s cellphone was found in Steward’s backyard (which was next door to Monchnik’s home).

Let us hope that the severity of the crime and the premeditation of it gets this juvenile to be charged as an adult. This type of person shouldn’t be allowed to be free. If he has done it once, he could do it again.
